Hello, I’m Ben and I’m just a normal guy who enjoys doing things any other 15 kid likes to do. I am in the tenth grade in a regular small town school. While school does take up most of my time, I play a lot of sports like football, baseball, basketball, and wrestling. In my spare time I like to read and sometimes play video games or watch television. I also enjoy writing, I have always been told by my English teachers that I am very good at it, it just comes natural. I have a job at my parents restaurant where I work on the weekends. I enjoy it a lot, and when I get older I want to go into the culinary arts and become a chef and eventually take over the family business.
Being around the restaurant industry, I notice a lot of trends in crops and other foods. A foods price can drop and increase in a matter of days. Now this is due to the economy for the most part, but some of this has to do with the climate of our earth shifting, which effects the growing process. Noticing things like this made me want to know more about our earth and its climate trends. In my media class, we were told to choose any topic and learn about it, now how cool is that? I chose to research global warming due to the fact that it effects the industry I want to go into, but also because it may become a huge problem for us very soon . Anyway, we were than informed to write an inquiry question about our topic, so I chose to ask “What can we do to help slow global warming?” So, what can we do to help slow it down? What can you do? In the following pieces of writing, my aim is to give you an idea of what we can all do to help save our planet.
